The Citybus Positively Belfast Balloon Carnival 1992, was the main event which launched the Positively Belfast company. Although those behind it were  involved in the 1991 Cutty Sark Tall Ships event. There was also a laser light show in April 1992. This was the city’s first Fireworks and Laser concert.

The balloon carnival was held in Queen’s University Playing Fields, Upper Malone. As part of the carnival there were other events.

Jousting/Chariot Racing

Human Gyroscope (A transparent globe that simulates weightlessness)

Toyota Aerobatic Display Team (Two bi-planes provided an ‘aerial dance’)

Kart Racing

Sky Diving (From the famous Wild Geese International Sky Diving Display Team)

There were many other events including classic cars and other transport.
