In July 1992 an organization formed by the government was introduced to the world in a unique way. Although heavily involved with the previous years Cutty Sark Tall Ships, which gave people in Belfast, and indeed across Northern Ireland something to be proud of. It was the City Bus Balloon Carnival that put ‘Positively Belfast’ on the map. It wasn’t world peace, it wasn’t even local peace, but these events helped build a positive image across the world. Our goal at ‘Positively Belfast.com’ is to archive the events organised by the original company and take a retrospective look at how things have changed.
